Steve Arvey and The Saxtelles is a mix of some of the old and some of
the new. This combo has a three piece sax section that delivers
a great big sound and is perfect for many different tastes.
Warner Recording artist Steve Arvey put this unique group together in
2005. Steve Arvey a 30 year Veteran of the Chicago music scene has
assembled this great group of musicians and has worked hard on
developing this new "Wall of Sound". "I really got tired of all the
bands with guitars blaring away" says Arvey. "I wanted to create a new sound
that blends the old 50's and 60's sound with a contemporary twist." Steve started the concept of using female saxophone players on
his last tour of England. I had these two girls come up on stage and
play horn lines with me and the crowd loved it!! I used them on another
gig in Wales and it started a whole new concept musically for me. It
took a while to find a good group of female saxophone players in the
Chicago area but I have a great band now!! The Saxtelles Mix Swing, New
Orleans R&B, 50's Rock, Soul and Jazz to create a sound that people
from 8 to the age of 80 will enjoy!
