Pete Cornelius is a performer whose guitar work is in the best
tradition of what Rock and Blues Guitar is all about. Listen to
the fat, fat sound of this Nationally Traveled Australian's licks
especially in the number called Running In The Red. You may also
want to pay attention to the tune, Rock and Roll. Firmly rooted
with a foot way in the blues, you will also detect some heavy
influence in Texas Swing too, like in the track entitled, Bungalo
Party. To date this Great Stage Talent has 5 Albums to his
credit and he's still in his early twenties. These album credits
include Creatures Of The Night, Freerange, Gonna Burn, Gotta Live and
Live At Narooma (all distributed nationally throughout Australia or as
the Aussies like to call it, "OZ") which was recorded during
Australia's Venerable Great
Southern Blues and Rockabilly Festival in 1999. Still more to
his credit, he was only fifteen when this occurred and he was already
playing in front of thousands of people! No small feat, wouldn't
you say? But not only is Pete a Great Guitarist he's a very
solid vocalist as well, delivering a strong, smooth and matured tone
that's a tad reminiscent of the earlier days of Jim Peterich during
Peterich's rise with the band, The Ides of March and their hit tune
Vehicle.
Pete Cornelius is a veteran very early in his career which is still in
it's blossoming stage. Here's a quick list of just some of his
Australian credits to date of which he's a regular performer with his
band called The Deville's. Pete Cornelius and The Deville's have
performed at Byron Bay Blues and Roots Festival, The Great Southern
Blues and Rockabilly Festival in Narooma, The Broadbeach Blues
Festival, The Australian Blues Festival in Goulburn, The Forth Valley
Blues Fest along with a stack of others. These are some of the biggest
and most prestigious Stages in "OZ"! His USA tours have taken
him to places such as The Prairie Dog Blues Festival in Wisconsin,
Eddy Clearwaters, Reservation Blues - Chicago, The Slippery
Noodle - Indianapolis, and just to round some of it out, he's also
performed at Chicago's House of Blues. As well, he's performed
extensively as a Solo Acoustic Act in the British Isles. Still more to
his credit, he's endorsed by Fender Guitars, Australia.
So as you can clearly hear from the sounds of the player you're
listening to, Pete is a Sure Bet that will thrill whatever audience
he's in front of. He comes to Worldwide TMA highly recommended
and we're thrilled to bring him onboard. As well, we couldn't
agree with all of those glowing recommendations more if we tried. |
