Hamilton Loomis has been an act in the making for over 10 years now, ever since his debut as a "teenage wonder talent."
Hailing from a family with a strong musical background and cutting his early teeth on drums, piano and then the harmonica, Hamilton also prides himself as having been influenced on guitar
by the likes of Bo Diddley (who has contributed his talents to some of Hamilton's recordings), Johnny "Clyde" Copeland, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, and Albert Collins, this man's music reflects some of the most primal funkified blues we've ever heard.
At the age of eighteen, he was nominated for a Grammy in the "Best Contemporary Album Of The Year" Category and with good reason. He deserved it.
These days he's a Blind Pig Records Recording Artist and we think that the folks over at Blind Pig knew what they were doing when they signed this act.
Certainly, as you can hear from the songs in this profile, this is some hellacious songwriting and recording studio performance.
He's no stranger to the stage or critical acclaim. Hamilton has been playing in front of people for most of his life, so his ease and comfort there is reflected in the hearts of his audience as they watch this enormously talented multi-intrumentalist glide through his numbers and igniting their boot leather with rocket fuel!
We would have to admit that, a few lines of description in a profile can hardly do justice to a show that is constantly on the road these days, he's always out there somewhere, payin' his dues along with a band lineup that's as tight as anyone in the business!
We're glad to have him in the lineup here at Worldwide TMA...it's an honor and a pleasure to represent him! |
