On a beach in southern California - Out on the boardwalk the natives'll warn ya
- The only place like it on the face of the earth - It's the weirdest show in
town. Where the crowds' as strange as us performers - They drop their change and
make us fish for quarters - The colors of humanity - Watchin' us all get down.
I say...We got the chainsaw juggler here - He tosses danger through the air -
And he makes out like a bandit every Saturday afternoon - An old man clown skate
dancing to Irish jigs - He wears that silly cellophane hat but he really needs a
wig - And no one sees him dancing around but still he smiles away.
Welcome to Pay Day in Venice - We'd all like to thank you for comin' down to the
- Pay Day in Venice - We are the freaks on the lawn singing the songs and we can
tell your fortune.
We've got a one eyed fortune telling Chihuahua - An old man jeweler who would
sell his daughter - We know it's quite confusing, wilder than your dreams. A man
who walks on a bed of broken bottles - The spinal crackers they go on for miles
and you can just think of it all, as ten steps from your limousine.
Welcome to Pay Day in Venice - We'd all like to thank you for comin' down to the

No doubt about it no place that I'd rather be, at the beach is where you'll find
this story - Watch the sunset and have you fortune told!
Come to the land of the sunken collars - Our dark secrets 'll keep you here for
hours - Well you can pay your way or watch for free.
Welcome to Pay Day in Venice.

We've got a one man band playin' Michael Jackson - The rythmn section's on a
skate board action - He stops the crowd to take notice, this guy really needs to
be seen. Soo.....
Come the land of a thousand hollers - We love your change but drop your dollars
- And we hope by the time you leave, we've got your pockets clean.

The first time that I knew you were there was the second that I looked in your
eyes - I was amazed that I felt that much love and it all kind of left me
surprised - Well could it be that you didn't want me was the first thing that
popped in my mind - I was afraid that you couldn't be made but ever since I saw
your soul I was blind.
So there I was and you left me no choice I knew I had to get you into my life -
I was in love and my heart was the voice but it didn't seem you thought I was
nice - I didn't car it didn't matter the cost there was nothing else I wanted to
do - I knew inside that my heart was the boss and all I knew was that it had to
be you.
The next time that I knew you were there I was hangin' with my friends at the
club - I couldn't help cuz I just had to stare it didn't matter of you gave me
the snub - There was a rainbow surrounding your face there was nothing else that
I could've seen - I was a love hound and you were the chase until I had you I
couldn't be free.
You wouldn't give me a sign so I had to dig a hole in your mind it was the only
thing I wanted to find you made me a love hound - And time was slippin' away and
you kept me thinking day after day another year of this you're makin' me pay you
made me a love hound.
Then came the day that I asked for your number I was finally on the trail to
your life I was on you like a hungry love hound - Then came the day when you
asked for my number when you called me and I wasn't around I had made you like a
hungry love hound.
Love Hound, Love Hound...Love Hound. Love Hound, Love Hound...Love Hound. Love
hound, Love Hound...Love Hound!
It took a year just to get you on the dance floor I finally had a chance for
romance - I was surprised when you opened the skies Because I finally learned
you knew how to dance - So there we were, we were bumpin' and grindin' with the
beat pumping in to our hearts - And ecstasy was the name of the game but I knew
it all along from the start.
I was floatin' on air you hypnotized me when you gave me a glare and everybody
else well they weren't there except the love hounds - I was convinced that I had
my success because I finally got you into my life we were dancin' like a couple
of love hounds.
Love Hound, Love Hound...Love Hound. Love Hound, Love Hound...Love Hound. Love
hound, Love Hound...Love Hound! .Love Hound, Love Hound...Love Hound. Love
Hound, Love Hound...Love Hound. Love hound, Love Hound...Love Hound!

Living On The Inside

Well there’s leaves left from last autumn in the backyard
I can’t count them like the days I’ve left behind
I’m not sorry that I miss ‘em
Though I spend time reminiscin’ all the hills I’ve climbed
And the people I’ve encountered
And the lovers I’ve left out there are just pictures on a page
And though the page is slowly turning
I’m not certain that I’m learning from this life I’ve made
Well I’ve traveled many highways
I’ve seen sun downs in the skyways that have made me cry
And there’s times that I am happy
But more often I feel a little sadly when I try to fly
And the tapestry of friendships
That I’ve woven from the branches of the trees I’ve grown
Well they’ve never had an answer
As to why I am the dancer they all think they’ve known
But sometimes I feel like a rocket
Other times I feel just like a squirrel
And I am living on the inside
And outside is the rest of the world
I say the cynics and the poets
And how the politicians tell it well it’s all we’ve known
While this world in revolution
Finds us in some sort of evolution which seems all to slow
And the pundits in the papers
In their suits and their skyscrapers tell us what to think
Well it serves to make us hazy
Others it drives ‘em crazy and makes them drink
So we scramble for a living
And every Christmas time they’re busy selling us their plutocracy
As they fly across the oceans
And ramble on their emotions of hypocrisy
Well I know I’m not essential
I’m not too influential, there’s not much to me
I can’t make your world a heaven
I can’t roll a seven to save humanity
But sometimes I feel just like a rocket
Other times I feel just like a squirrel
And I am living on the inside
And outside is the rest of the world
And I recall the many times I’ve tried
To tell the world just how that I feel
And secrets I’ve tried to confide
Are passed on just like roads by a wheel
A wheel
Solo
And I recall the many times I’ve tried
To tell the world just how that I feel
And secrets I’ve tried to confide
Are passed on just like roads by a wheel
A wheel
In the end there’s no conclusion
As to why life is confusion or some kind of ordered mess
I’m not certain there’s any answers
For all us sad mislead romancers or why more seems less
And the days are quickly passing
I care but I can’t see lasting even though I know I must
‘cause my heart is always beating
My lungs are always breathing the daily dust
But sometimes I feel just like a rocket
Other times I feel just like a squirrel
And I am living on the inside
And outside is the rest of the world
Sometimes I feel just like a rocket
Other times I feel just like a squirrel
And I am living on the inside
And outside is the rest of the world
I am living on the inside and outside is the rest of the world
I am living on the inside and outside is the rest of the world
The rest of the world.
