For many years the founder of
Dr. 8, Scott Pollack, had dedicated his service in the music business to
others,
side-stepping his own talents which we think are considerable, also
finding that the audience of
MySpace.com does in fact agree with Bittersweet's assessment of the
man. Scott's colleagues and
friends alike, often wondered why he
did this...but we figured it out, that is the measure of him.
Throughout the course of his
career Scott often ventured into the spotlight as an actor and musical
performer and in all of this he showed an excelled sense of style and performance craft that
only comes from something
which is seldom seen, the mark of a perfectionist...and he does
this with ease.
Since this is fresh off the
presses and Dr. 8's debut on the worldwide market is less than three
months old we
are relating this to you as we witness it. When he cut
Living On The Inside, the last of the first three EP songs that the world has
ever heard from Dr. 8, he walked into the studio, sat down after the mic's
were set up, and waited
for the levels to be adjusted...then just played through the song two
times on the twelve string.
Along with playing through another cut on keyboard for a rehearsal track
on another song we'll be putting out
called Phantom, we weren't in the studio to include mixing for more than
two and a half hours.
We have the footage from this event
filmed by Steve while Lou and I were away on business,
and we'll be making it available soon for viewing...but that's Scott.
He just does his job and with few exceptions, perfectly, then thinks nothing of it.
We think it's nothing short of amazing!
We're proud to present to you and the world, Scott Pollack and his dream...
Dr. 8!
