Colin John is a fine example of what we at Worldwide TMA call "an
incredibly fine pedigree" (a quote of Scott Pollack from Dr. 8 and
Steve Arvey, founders of Worldwide TMA & Bittersweet Records Co.) who
at the time, when they heard Colin were absolutely gassed at what came
over the speakers at full volume. The fact is the higher you
turn the volume up on Colin the better he gets!
He's shared the spotlight with Blues greats like Howlin Wolf, Hubert
Sumlin, Ronnie Earl, Pintetop Perkins, James Cotton, Hank Ballard,
B.B.King, John Mayall, Marshall Crenshaw, Deanna Bogart, Scott Holt,
The Outlaws, Michael Hill, Chris Duarte, Everclear and
Clarence "Gatemouth Brown. He's had a tenure as the Saturday
Session Man and featured lead guitar player behind all the
visiting artists coming to BB King's Beale Street Blues Club in
Memphis.
There are several albums to his credit and his impressive reviews are from all parts of the globe.
He's been a
well traveled pro for many years. We lead Colin's profile
with a very impressive live jam performance called Shake 'Em On Down,
because it's infectious. This is what the Electric Blues is
really about. As a matter of fact we think it's one of the
finest examples we've heard in quite some time. The difference
with the Colin John Band is that this band stretches out. They're a
Blues Rock Jam Band.
With members Gerard Dominick and Scott Turner forming a well rounded Full On Power Trio
coupled with Colin's vocals which are raw, gutsy, well tuned and full
of funk and soul, as you can plainly hear, this combo is booked solid
most of the time. So reserve your performance well in advance.
